White Cap Charolais

White Cap Charolais is located southeast of Moose Jaw and consists of 120 mature breeding females.

Our cowherd has been dedicated to a functional easy doing cow that has the ability to milk, look after herself, her calf and rebreed. Our sires are Polled bulls with reasonable birth weight and adequate growth.

We market our bulls mainly as yearlings. We expect our bulls to go out and service a reasonable number of cows while retaining their fleshing ability.

Structure, Growth, Calving ease best describe the qualities we demand in our cow herd.

There are no excuses for open females, bad feet or poor disposition.

Howe Red Angus

 With the change in generations of the Howe family in the Red Angus business brings no change to the location or main goals. Howe Red Angus is still located 8 miles south and 1 ½ miles east of Moose Jaw.

I now run 140 bred Red Angus females, which are made up of much of the same genetics as the previous generation has used. My goals are similar in that of raising structurally sound, easy fleshing, well natured cattle, which fit the bill for the customer.

This years bull sale offering is made up of three sire groups, which I have been using extensively in my herd. I plan to continue serving the customers changing needs into the future.

Rosso Charolais

Rosso Charolais is located on Old Wives Lake south of Moose Jaw. Our herd consists of 100 purebred Charolais cows, a dozen Angus cows and 100 commercial cows. As we believe the cows have to work for you, not you for the cows we require calving ability and structural soundness. Our cows calve on the early April grass.

The bulls are coming 2 year olds at sale time. They are selected for calving performance, testicles and structural soundness. We feed them to grow and develop from weaning to sale time.

Cockburn Red Angus
 

Cockburn Red Angus is located 30 minutes south east of Moose Jaw, near Briercrest. The ranch location is south west of Moose Jaw in the rolling Coteau Hills. Our herd consists of 75 purebred Red Angus and 375 commercial cows. Over the past few years we have been breeding approximately 140 heifers and marketing them as bred heifers.
