The Howes operate a mixed farming operation under the herd names Whitecap Charolais and Howe Red Angus. Established in 1950 by Elgin & Lottie Howe. Their sons Dale(Lois) & Doug joined the operation and Mike & Lisa are the 3rd generation working on the farm.
The cowherd consists of 280 breeding females - which is a combination of purebred Charolais and Red Angus cows. Howe Farm Bull Sale Held annually since 1991 on the first Wednesday in April at the Howe Farm. Read all about our sale on our Sale page.

Annual Bull Sale began in 1991 & has been held on farm since 2001 on the first Wednesday in April.
Crops and Irrigation The farm includes 6 quarters of irrigation, which is irrigated by effluent water from the city of Moose Jaw. We grow about 1000 acres of oilseeds, grain and alfalfa.
